Formed for Good is a framework for men in search of meaning. Our aim is to recover the larger story God is writing so we can find our place in it. The story is not all about us but we each play a vital role. We have an identity and a purpose that was lost but it can be found again.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.” We are the sons of a good Father and we were made to do good work and to stand against evil. The logo represents the two roles entrusted to us in the beginning of the story. God instructed us to plant and protect, hence the head of grain in the shape of a shield. Within that larger calling we each have very unique abilities and passions and therefore specific assignments.

Most of us used to live without the framework of this larger, collective story. We lived without knowing who we were and why we are here. For that reason, there is some ground to be covered. The recovery of the story and our place in it is a process that God invites us into. And yielding to that process can bring about our transformation. The Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers operate by the four simple words, “So others may live.” This motto captures the vision of Formed for Good. We want to become the kind of men who are willing to sacrifice so others may live.
